Just in time for the summer, the inaugural SoFlo Boat Show was held between 19-21 May 2023 at the Miami Marine Stadium. The latest addition to the Miami boat show scene, the marine event celebrated the ocean lifestyle with several product demonstrations and a tonne of fun events and activities. The show attracted hundreds of visitors who enjoyed on-land and in-water displays of boats, boating accessories, watersports and live entertainment.
With more than 100 boats at the Sea Trial Docks, attendees had the opportunity to test run the boat of their dreams and have a first-hand experience of the thrill and performance of high-performance boats. On the other hand, the El Mar Pavillion hosted a wide range of products and services related to boating, fishing, electronics, and more exotic items like art and decor.
For many, though, the highlight of the show was the AquaZone. Hosted by Nautical Ventures, it featured a 40,000-gallon demonstration pool that, among others, showcased the latest water toys ranging from cutting-edge watercraft, high-speed jet skis to underwater drones. Additionally, visitors could watch live demonstrations of extreme water sports performed by skilled professionals offering attendees, especially youngsters, a sneak peek into the world of extreme water sports.
That wasn’t all; however, the Fishing Zone was on hand for, you guessed it, the anglers. The zone was designed to cater to all levels of anglers ranging from novices to experts. Fishing demonstrations and seminars, an interactive casting pool, and a fishing simulator were some of the attractions.
Lastly, the 360-degree Ship’s Wheel Bar and Galley offered a place to unwind and relax and, for many, an opportunity to soak in the day they just had. Cold drinks, seafood, and networking opportunities were all on the menu.
A glimpse into the future, the SoFLo Boat Show was a groundbreaking event showcasing the best of the boating and marine world and providing an unforgettable experience for all those that attended. The event’s been described as an annual show, so there’s no harm in prepping yourself for the next one if this one passed you by.
